In a previous blog I listed a number of links connected to the idea of a resource based economy (rbe). Now I'd like to tell the story and where we are today.

Fresco was the first. He introduced the terms and the plan about 80 years ago - http://thevenusproject.com. He wanted all the governments to quit and to add the resources in their control to an international pool.

Many did not want to wait until that happened and so organized in groups and organizations. They wanted to start to "BUILD A HYBRID RBE COMMUNITY NOW" . There is a facebook group with that name and purpose that reports on many attempts to do just that.

Additional organizations formed to help the transition from the present profit based economy to rbe. I am working with Nicole's organization which I consider the best. http://www.thetransition.org/about

Afterwards I learned about a site that included a manifesto that received over 28 million signatures, http://weagree.life . I was excited about this idea, and I saw the manifesto as a way of gaining more and more supporters for the idea, enough that could spark the beginning of the transition.

However it is ALSO needed NOW since there is supposed to be a total collapse of the financial system  soon.
